Larry Cole

In a business of "cookie cutter" artists, finally, a recording artist comes a long that stands apart from all the others, Cole. Hailing from Michigan, he now resides in Nashville and Las Vegas. Though, recently, the majority of his time is spent out "West" he is most proud of his strong, East Tennessee family roots, and considers Tennessee "Home".

Deeply rooted in Rockabilly, Gospel and Country, Cole blends all of his influences, marvelously creating a sound so familiar, yet, at the same time, so new. Growing up, he listened to various genres of music, but it was the "Nashville Sound" that originally stole his heart and soul. Elvis, Conway Twitty, Ronnie McDowell, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Williams, Marty Robbins - just to name a few- inspired him most. Of course he was definitely tuned into Pop/Rock radio as well... Cole says, "I literally listened to all types of music...still do. As long as it's "real" and not homogenized, I can dig it."

On a personal note, he considers his late, guitar pickin' Grandpa Cole, an early influence as well. Cole adds, "When it comes to musical influences, I was, and guess still am, like a sponge, taking in every distinct note and sound that catches my attention."

This young impressionable artist was driven to learn the guitar at the age of eight. In his early teens, he became deeply interested in writing poetry, which, by the age of sixteen, emerged into song writing. Shortly thereafter, he became a member of The Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI).

Since then, he's penned many tunes, including nine out of ten for his first release, "Lost In Blue Dreams." On this particular release, you can hear the strong influence of the 1960's "Nashville Sound." And as a testimony to his talent, he had the honor of the legendary Jordanaires and Millie Kirkham singing backup vocals to enhance the album's "illusion." But the simple fact is, Cole is no illusion, but a gifted artist who's able to combine the best of all musical artists and genres that have influenced him, into his own, unique brand of magic.

His music has a way of touching a listener's deep personal thoughts and emotions, reaching out with his powerful, low and full "bedroom voice." Laced with heavy seductive romantic tones, Cole's songs have attracted quite a large, female following; yet, because of his unthreatening, personal manner, men enjoy his music and stage shows as well.

Maybe because this guy's heart is as big as his music, his fan club is large and growing too, enlisting new fan members wherever he performs. And as far as his list of achievements, well, it's quite the impressive one... A track record that includes many various TV show appearances, radio air play, a cameo in a feature film, lead roles in Vegas production shows, performances across the country, in Europe, and much more. Larry Cole is a rising star to keep your eyes on.

...May his music touch your heart, and Rock Your Soul...
