Sheldon Lee, country-rock
singer/songwriter, was born and raised in Minnesota where he
started singing and playing the guitar at the early age of
five. He gets his talent from his beautiful red- headed
"Mother" Sharolyn who has been writing her own songs and
singing to him from the day he was born. Since the age of
five, Sheldon has been performing on stage and was hooked from
the beginning listening to the applause from the audience.
Sheldon has taken his early
stage experience and has expanded it into a multi-faceted
musical experience. He's gone from just playing rhythm guitar
to lead and steel guitar where he started with his first band
"Country Heart". With his talent as a lead guitarist and his
vocal abilities, he continued to expand his talent and joined
another local country band, "Neon Moon".
In 1993 he stepped into the
spotlight in his home state of Minnesota where he performed in
the "Jimmy Dean Country Showdown" and he placed second. Along
with his enormous talents, he grabs the attention of the crowd
especially the females. He's tall, dark and handsome and with
his electric guitar and solid voice he keeps the dancers out
on the dance floor with his energized performance. All of
these assets were noticed at the "Showdown" where he received
the attention of the Mankato Free Press who introduced him in
the newspaper to a larger Minnesota audience.
He went on to start his own band
"Whiskey Rose" after recording his first album in 1996.
Sheldon has gone on to perform at over 300 fairs, festivals,
casinos and club venues around the country, made various radio
and television appearances and went on to perform in Nashville
on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Nashville was where he decided to
pursue his career in country music. He was fortunate enough to
meet and work with veteran producer, songwriter and vocal
coach Bart Barton who was a great influence in developing
Sheldon's talent in the studio.
Mr. Barton and Brian Fisher
joined forces to produce Sheldon's second album "Wanted Man"
where Sheldon and his Mother Sharolyn wrote the title
song, "Wanted Man", along with Hello Fool and Table For Two.
Each one of these ten songs on this album could be a single on
the charts.
Influenced early on by country
stars like George Jones, Hank, Jr. and Merle Haggard, Sheldon
pours his heart and soul into every word he sings. His rich,
soulful vocals and high-energy command of the stage is simply
captivating. Talent, dedication, and more talent are the best
ways to describe him and he is making himself available to
perform for your most demanding audience!
